I offer a friendly, local service to customers in the Market Harborough and Lutterworth areas and in the many nearby village communities.

Personal.

I aim to provide an experience tailored to you. I endeavour to be punctual, friendly without being overly familiar and to respond as promptly as possible in all my communications with you.

The process normally starts with a home visit for me to undertake a survey of the room where work is proposed and to discuss in detail your requirements with no commitment on your part. Depending on the scale of the work I will then usually produce a design and supply you with CAD drawings and/or a 3D model animation of your project within a few days along with a total price for the job.

If at this point you decide you would like to go ahead with the project I may ask for a 5% deposit to secure a booking with a further 50% payable before I start fabrication of your furniture and the balance to be paid immediately upon completion of the installation.

I know that having people working in your home can be traumatic but I will do everything I can to make the experience a pleasant one for you. I will minimise the disruption to your home by completing as much of the work as I can - including most of the painting and finishing - in the workshop. I will also promise to continuously clean up as I work in your home and keep dust and noise to a minimum.

Sustainable.

In this country tens of thousands of tonnes of (mostly flat pack) furniture are thrown out each year and end up either in landfill or being burnt. This has a huge environmental impact.

Locally made fitted furniture that is robustly constructed using traditional carpentry techniques from only sustainably sourced materials can last for as long as your house remains standing.

I only use FSC certified sustainably harvested wood and sheet materials from trusted suppliers. Timber that is turned into furniture becomes an important carbon bank for as long as the furniture remains in use. And sustainably harvested timber is replaced after it is cut down with new trees which play a vital role in removing even more CO2 from the atmosphere. 

I have committed to minimise the carbon footprint of my business by only working locally.
